Bloomingdale – Candace Parrish Jenkins, 60, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home. The Savannah native was a graduate of Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany. She attended Georgia Southern University, graduated from Armstrong State College as a paralegal, and worked for a local law firm.
Candy was a member of Faulkville Baptist Church and a member of the Womens Group of the church. She was a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and was active in the Republican Party.
Surviving are her husband, Roy Jenkins of Bloomingdale; her children, Marie Monroe, Toby Edenfield, Sean Edenfield, and James Jenkins, all of Effingham County; her mother, JoAnn L. Parrish of Savannah; her sister, Stephanie P. Hoffner of Effingham County; her brother, Jesse Ricks Parrish, Jr. of Bulloch County; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson, and one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August13, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00.
Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Marlow.
